Coir pots.

Coir Pots are produced from husks that have grown, then used to grow plants in themselves before being finally returning to the soil! It's not only the environment that benefits from this natural production line - plants raised in coir pots enjoy air pruning (which encourages a thicker, stronger root system to develop), never get pot bound and suffer no root shock when planting.  This is ideal for plants like courgettes which hate having their roots disturbed.

The pots remain stable above ground for a year and biodegrade in the soil after 6 weeks adding texture to the soil as they degrade.  Coir pots can also be added to the compost heap as a valuable source of carbon (brown material).

Coir pots are available in a range of sizes and in quantities of 5 or 10.

Coir grow-bags.

Coir grow-bags contain a coir brick, which when soaked in water, fills the grow bag it is delivered in.  Coir is a natural waste product that provides a fibre base for plants to grow, encouraging thicker and stronger root systems to develop.

Coir grow-bags will support 3 to 4 plants per grow-bag and are available in two sizes.
